The FBI Teen Academy is a one week course designed to educate High School Freshman, sophomore, juniors and seniors age 16-18 about the FBI; its overall mission, priorities and the specific work we do here in the El Paso Division. Its mission is to expose students to a career in law enforcement and to encourage them to maintain a lifestyle free of crime, drugs, gangs and violence. Subjects covered during this event will be; Careers with the FBI, Drugs/Gang, Violence, Cyber Crimes, Human Trafficking, Major/Theft Violent Crimes, Evidence Response Team, SWAT and Polygraph demonstration. This is a great opportunity to nominate an outstanding Teen that would benefit from this educational opportunity provided by the Bureau.
The 2018 FBI Teen Academy is scheduled for July 16 through July 20, 2018 at 660 South Mesa Hills Dr., from 8:30am - 3:00pm. The attached nomination form is self-explanatory and the deadline is Friday, June 01, 2018 at 5:00pm. Any School official staff can nominate an outstanding freshman, sophomore, Junior or Senior at any High School. Selections will be made by Executive Management and notifications will be sent out in mid-June 2018. In addition, selected participants are responsible to provide their own transportation to the Teen Academy. Although snacks will be provided, participants are responsible for their own lunch, as THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO LEAVE THE BUILDING DURING THE DAY.
To nominate someone for the Teen Academy, please have your nominee complete the enclosed application and essay and submit them to COS Renate Hobson by Friday, June 02, 2018.
