We are extending an invitation to "Meet the T-Birds Night" to any 8th grader who is supposed to attend Coronado High School next year.  The key information:

When: Wednesday, May 23rd @ 5:30PM
Where: New Students and Parents will meet in the Fine Arts Auditorium.
What:  5:30 PM Introduce administrators and counselors in Fine Arts
6:00 PM Go to main gym to meet team coaches and club sponsors

"Fund Raiser" Food trucks will be present in front of the Fine Arts Theater beginning at 5 PM.

FInal Examination Exemption Forms

T-Bird Community,

The exemption policy for students remains the same as in years past:
1) Students must have a 90+ semester grade
2) Students must have 3 or less absences (they may be a UNV)
3) Students must attend all AM review sessions
4) Exempt seniors must stay in class for May 24th and May 25th finals

However, students will now be required to complete an exemption form in order to be cleared from attending any PM Final (May 29-June 1) for which they are exempt.

Please read the form carefully.  Both student and parent must sign the form and the student must turn the completed form into the attendance office by the end of the day on Wednesday, May 23rd.

FBI Teen Academy this Summer!

The FBI Teen Academy is a one week course designed to educate High School Freshman, sophomore, juniors and seniors age 16-18 about the FBI; its overall mission, priorities and the specific work we do here in the El Paso Division. Its mission is to expose students to a career in law enforcement and to encourage them to maintain a lifestyle free of crime, drugs, gangs and violence. Subjects covered during this event will be; Careers with the FBI, Drugs/Gang, Violence, Cyber Crimes, Human Trafficking, Major/Theft Violent Crimes, Evidence Response Team, SWAT and Polygraph demonstration.  This is a great opportunity to nominate an outstanding Teen that would benefit from this educational opportunity provided by the Bureau. 

The 2018 FBI Teen Academy is scheduled for July 16 through July 20, 2018 at 660 South Mesa Hills Dr., from 8:30am - 3:00pm. The attached nomination form is self-explanatory and the deadline is Friday, June 01, 2018 at 5:00pm. Any School official staff can nominate an outstanding freshman, sophomore, Junior or Senior at any High School. Selections will be made by Executive Management and notifications will be sent out in mid-June 2018. In addition, selected participants are responsible to provide their own transportation to the Teen Academy. Although snacks will be provided, participants are responsible for their own lunch, as THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO LEAVE THE BUILDING DURING THE DAY.

To nominate someone for the Teen Academy, please have your nominee complete the enclosed application and essay and submit them to COS Renate Hobson by Friday, June 02, 2018.

Official financial aid and scholarship award letters due May 21

Students must turn in a copy of their OFFICIAL financial aid/scholarship award letters to their counselor ASAP.  In order to be recognized at the Senior Awards Ceremony as a scholarship recipient, counselors need a copy of the letter.  Amounts are not disclosed at the ceremony, just an acknowledgement that they have received a scholarship.  This information must be given to the counselor by May 21.

Prom tickets on sale May 7

PROM TICKETS ON SALE MAY 7-MAY 18

This year’s T-Bird Prom is Saturday, May 19 at Grace Gardens from 8 p.m. to Midnight. 

Tickets will be sold before school from 8 to 8:45 a.m. and during lunch, at a table located in front of the library in C-Building, May 8 through May 18. Only current CHS juniors and seniors are eligible to buy tickets.  Other students may attend as the guest or guests of a CHS junior or senior. Please have your student ID when you purchase tickets.

Tickets are $40 if bought by May 18, and $50 at the door.
